Inspired by family

Sisters Tara and Tami conceived the idea for a fun stationery company one morning over coffee while enjoying their new little ones. An outlet for the creative talent passed down to them from their mother who was lost to breast cancer, Polka Dot Pear Design began with a few home produced designs shared with family and friends.

In memory of the blessing of their mother and with gratitude for the gifts God had given them, Tara devoted herself to originating unique, fresh stationery designs. At the heart of the company is the concept that each creation is a gift of love.

Growing in friendship

Exceptional team members and professional printers were not enough to keep pace with the overwhelming demand for the distinctive and imaginative products that had evolved as Polka Dot Pear Design was introduced at local stationery shows and displayed in boutique shops. Happily, Tara found the support she needed when she partnered with her childhood best friend, Aimee.  Prior to partnering with Tara, Aimee enhanced her already strong business and operational skills while running businesses in Silicon Valley and London.  Her skills harmonize perfectly with Tara's creative and marketing savvy, which Tara previously leveraged as a top rated sales executive at two different Fortune 500 companies.   Their complementary skills, passion for their customers and dedication to their business has led to the incredible success of Polka Dot Pear.

The widespread appeal of Polka Dot Pear Design continues to grow and now reaches over 40 states across the country in local, regional, and national stationery shops.
